Swetha Gowda, currently in judicial custody for allegedly defrauding a jewelry shop owner of Rs 2.42 crore by using the name of former minister Varthur Prakash, is set to be taken into police custody for an investigation in another case. The Commercial Street Police have prepared a body warrant to proceed with the case.

Swetha, a resident of Bagalagunte, was arrested earlier in connection with the fraud case registered at the Commercial Street Police Station. While in jail, a second complaint was filed against her by a woman from Shivamogga, alleging she was also defrauded of gold jewelry.

Police sources stated that preparations are underway to take Swetha into custody for interrogation regarding the second case. An application will soon be submitted to the court to proceed with the investigation.
