Madikeri: Driver crushed to death after jumping from runaway truck

Madikeri: A driver died after jumping from an out-of-control truck and being crushed under its wheels near Gudugalale village, Shanivarsanthe.

The deceased has been identified as Sunkanna. The cleaner, identified as Naresh, escaped unhurt.

The cement-laden truck, travelling from Andhra Pradesh to Somwarpet, lost control and nearly overturned. Anticipating danger, the driver and cleaner jumped out. Tragically, the truck’s rear wheels ran over Sunkanna, killing him on the spot.

Shanivarsanthe police visited the scene and registered a case.
