Bengaluru: A 25-year-old IT employee allegedly died by suicide in Banasawadi over a fallout with his lover.

The deceased identified as Satish Kumar was working at a private IT firm in Bellandur.

Reportedly Satish was in love with a girl during his college days and she too reciprocated his feelings at the time.

However, the girl’s family disapproved of the relationship. Four months ago, her family filed a harassment complaint against Satish at the Indiranagar police station. Following this, the police counseled him, and the couple drifted apart.

On New Year’s Day, Satish reportedly called the girl to reconcile, but she refused. Depressed over this, Satish committed suicide by hanging himself in the room.

Banasawadi police have registered a case and are investigating.

Suicide is preventable. If you get any such thoughts, consult or seek expert help.
