Udupi: “For seventy years, it seemed as though Bharat Mata’s head was severed. Now, under the leadership of the Sanatan-centric government, her head has been restored and crowned,” remarked Sri Vidyadheesha Thirtha Swamiji, the Pontiff of Sri Palimaru Matha.
Speaking at the ‘Vishwarpanam’ and ‘Guruvandana’ event organized by the Sri Krishna Seva Balaga of Adamaru Matha at the Poornaprajna College auditorium on Saturday, Swamiji stressed the importance of preserving Sanatan Dharma and the nation. He said, “Our sacrifices have been immense in terms of non-violence, generosity, and tolerance. The current government is working to reclaim lands that were once taken from us.”
Adamaru Matha’s senior seer, Sri Vishwapriya Thirtha Swamiji, emphasized the importance of fostering curiosity and imparting values to children. Other spiritual leaders, including Adamaru Matha’s Sri Eshapriya Thirtha Swamiji and Palimaru Matha’s junior seer Sri Vidyarajeshwar Thtirtha Swamiji, also delivered their blessings.
The Narahari Thirtha Yakshagana Award was presented to Sridhar Mahabaleshwara Shadakshari of Kumta. Other notable individuals, such as Dr. G. S. Chandrashekar, Director of Adarsh Hospital, and businessmen Dr. Vinit Anand Bhadravati and Muralidhar Hathwar, were honored during the event.
The program featured a musical recital by Nandini Pune, with prominent speakers, including Bengaluru-based Sheshagiri K. N., who shared insights on Adamaru Matha’s senior seers. MLA Yashpal Suvarna and other dignitaries were present. The event was coordinated by the Sri Krishna Seva Balaga, with Govindaraj welcoming the attendees and Nagraj Tantri delivering the vote of thanks.
