Karkala: Couple rescued after falling into open well

Karkala: The Karkala Fire and Emergency Services team rescued a couple who fell into a well at Kallotte-Pervaje Road on Sunday morning.

Anitha (57) accidentally slipped and fell into the well while walking nearby. Her husband, Annappa Mallya (59), attempted to rescue her but also got stuck in the well. The rescue began after locals informed the fire station.

A team led by Fire Officer Albert Monis, along with Assistant Officer Chandrashekhar and key personnel Hariprasad, Sanjay, Hassan, and Ravichandra, swiftly arrived at the spot with the necessary equipment. They successfully rescued the duo, ensuring their safety.
