Mangaluru: Former Mayor Sudheer Shetty Kannur, with the support of the 30th Kodialbail Ward Committee, handed over a newly built house, “Keshava Sadan,” to Ganesh and Rohini, a poor couple from Vivekanagar, on Sunday. The house was constructed at a cost of Rs 12 lakh.

Dr. Vaman Shenoy, RSS South Madhya Kshetra Joint Convener, praised Shetty’s generosity, calling it an exemplary act. “Such noble deeds should inspire others in society,” he said.

Sudheer Shetty mentioned that five houses, including this one, have been constructed under similar initiatives. Ganesh’s earlier house had collapsed during the monsoon, and government aid could not be arranged due to a lack of documents. The ward committee played a key role in the construction.

MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Manoj Kumar Kodikal, and several dignitaries participated in the housewarming ceremony. Ganesh expressed gratitude and hoped for more such initiatives in the future.
