Two dead, three injured after truck overturns near Honnavar

Honnavar: A tragic accident occurred late Sunday night (Jan 5) near Sulimurkhi curve on the Gerusoppa-Sagara road, when a truck overturned, leaving two people dead and three injured.

The truck, carrying iron toy materials, was headed towards Honnavar when it lost control and overturned in the middle of the night.

The deceased and injured are reported to be natives of Bihar. The injured individuals have been identified as Sajjan Kumar from Nalanda district, Ganavri from Gaya district, and Pappu Kumar from Patna district.

The injured were rushed to the Taluk Government Hospital in Honnavar for treatment.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Honnavar police station.
