Dharwad: The Dharwad bench of Karnataka High Court has adjourned the hearing of the POCSO case against former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa to January 10.
A single-judge bench presided over by Justice Nagaprasanna conducted the hearing. Senior advocate C.V. Nagesh appeared on behalf of Yediyurappa. However, the judge directed that the case be heard in Bengaluru and postponed further proceedings to January 10.
The case, which has stirred significant political controversy in Karnataka, involves allegations against Yediyurappa. The former Chief Minister had filed a petition in the High Court seeking the dismissal of the POCSO case.
While previous hearings were held in Bengaluru, Tuesday marked the first instance of the case being heard in the Dharwad bench of the High Court.
