Udupi: Women should not hesitate to utilize opportunities, says Prajwal Shetty

Udupi: Women should always make the most of opportunities and platforms available to them to move forward in society, stated Prajwal Shetty, Senior Manager at Praj GenX Manufacturing Industries, Padubidri.

She was speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of the “Reshme Jote Deepavali-2024” competition organized by Udayavani in collaboration with Jayalakshmi Silks – Bannanje on Tuesday.

Prajwal highlighted that the event not only celebrated the festival but also provided a platform for women to express themselves. She commended Udayavani for organizing several initiatives that cater to readers’ interests.

Jayalakshmi Veerendra Hegde, Director of Jayalakshmi Silks, remarked that with public cooperation, anything is achievable, citing Udayavani and Jayalakshmi Silks as examples of this.

Raghuveer, DGM of the HR Division at Praj GenX Manufacturing Industries, added that places that revere women always witness progress and success. He emphasized that women are embodiments of strength and should shine brighter with the opportunities available to them.

Aravinda Navada, Editor of Udayavani, who presided over the event, stated that festivals are a part of tradition. By celebrating them, we not only spread joy and enthusiasm but also pass these traditions to future generations. He stressed the importance of finding happiness in small moments and teaching this to the younger generation, which was a key aim of the program.

Ramachandra Mijar, Vice President (Magazine Head and Special Initiatives) of MMNL, introduced the event and said that “Reshme Jote Deepavali” successfully amplified the festive spirit among women, crediting the guidance of MMNL MD and CEO Vinod Kumar for its success.

Radhakrishna Bhat Kodavoor, Head of Udayavani’s Udupi Marketing Division, announced the list of prize winners, while Udayavani’s Local Editor Krishna Bhat Aladangadi delivered the vote of thanks. Senior journalist S.G. Naik anchored the program.
