Firing at real estate tycoon in Belagavi

Unidentified assailants opened fire at a real estate businessman and rowdy sheeter on the Ganeshpur Hindunagar Road in Belagavi in the wee hours of Friday, January 10.

The victim Prakul Balkrishna Patil, (30) a resident of Shahoo Nagar, was on his way home when the assailants fired at him.

It is suspected that the assailants fired two rounds at his vehicle. Patil was injured in the head and face, while the car’s windows were shattered due to the gunfire.

Patil was rushed to a private hospital in Belagavi, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries. Belagavi Rural Police visited the scene and are conducting an investigation into the attack.
