The wildlife conflict in Chikkamagaluru’s coffee land has escalated, leaving residents increasingly worried. While the region has long grappled with attacks by elephants, bison, and tigers, a new concern has emerged—leopard sightings.
In the past two days, a leopard has been spotted multiple times on the Kuduremukha National Highway in Kalasa taluk. The sightings have created panic among locals and commuters traveling along the route.
Alarmed by the potential threat, residents have urged the forest department to take immediate action and capture the leopard to ensure public safety.
