Tulu Film: Bollywood star joins Roopesh Shetty’s ‘Jai’

Mangaluru: The much-anticipated Tulu film ‘Jai’, directed by Roopesh Shetty, has once again made headlines. Having completed two phases of shooting, the film has now roped in a Bollywood star.
Yes, Bollywood actor and Dakshina Kannada native Suniel Shetty is set to make his debut in the Tulu film industry through ‘Jai’. Expressing his excitement, Suniel Shetty said, “For a long time, I wanted to act in a Tulu film for the people of Tulunadu. That time has finally come, and I’m thrilled to be part of Roopesh Shetty’s ‘Jai’.”
Following the success of his films ‘Girgit’ and ‘Circus’, Roopesh Shetty is all set to entertain Tulu audiences again with ‘Jai’. The film is being produced under the banners of RS Cinemas, Shoolin Films, and Mugrodi Productions, with producers Anil Shetty, Sudhakar Shetty Mugrodi, and Manjunath Attavara. Dikshith Alva is also co-producing the project.
The star-studded cast includes Roopesh Shetty, Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Prasanna Shetty Bailur, Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, and Umesh Mijar, among others.

The same team that created popular Tulu films such as ‘Girgit’, ‘Circus’, and ‘Gamjaal’ is now working on ‘Jai’. Directed by Roopesh Shetty, the dialogues have been penned by Prasanna Shetty Bailur. Loy Valentine Saldanha has composed the music, and Vinuth K is handling the cinematography.
With Suniel Shetty’s involvement, ‘Jai’ is set to bring fresh excitement to the Tulu film industry.
