Mangaluru: In response to a directive from the Union Ministry of Renewable Energy, Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta has instructed the Kadaba Taluk Tahsildar to submit a report within a week regarding suitable land for establishing a solar park in the taluk.
The solar park is planned to be set up in Savanur, Subramanya, Nelyadi, and Kadaba under the PM-KUSUM scheme, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of promoting green energy. The directive from the ministry, communicated to MESCOM, emphasizes expediting the identification process for the project.
Speaking during a public meeting at the Kadaba Taluk office on January 13, MP Chowta highlighted the importance of green energy initiatives. He urged officials to assess feasible locations and provide a detailed report, including the advantages and challenges of the identified sites.
Promise of Kodimbala Railway Development
During the meeting, residents of Kadaba Taluk raised concerns and presented requests for developing the Kodimbala railway station, stating that its upgrade would significantly benefit the local population. Responding positively, MP Chowta assured the public of efforts to discuss the matter with the concerned authorities and work towards its development.
The meeting, held at the Mini Vidhana Soudha, witnessed a significant turnout of residents. MP Chowta also directed officials to ensure the smooth resolution of minor issues without causing inconvenience to the public.
Prominent BJP leaders, including State BJP Committee member Krishna Shetty Kadaba, Sullia Mandal President Venkat Valalambe, and General Secretary Pradeep Rai Manvalike, were present.
