Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty arrives in Mangaluru for shooting of Tulu movie ‘Jai’

Mangaluru: Bollywood star Suniel Shetty arrived in Mangaluru on Tuesday, January 14, for the shooting of the Tulu movie Jai.

Directed by Roopesh Shetty, the film marks Suniel Shetty’s first-ever performance in a Tulu movie. The actor was given a grand welcome at the Mangaluru International Airport upon his arrival.

Speaking about his debut, Suniel Shetty said, “This is my first time acting in a Tulu film. I had always expressed my willingness to act in a Tulu movie if a good opportunity came along, and now the time has come. I am excited to be part of Roopesh’s film, Jai.”

Director Roopesh Shetty, known for his previous successes Girgit and Circus, expressed his excitement, saying, “It has always been a dream to bring Suniel Shetty into Tulu cinema. Not just in my direction, but his involvement in any Tulu film would serve as a great boost to the industry. Having him act in Jai, my own directorial project, is a matter of immense joy.”

Jai is being produced under the banners of RS Cinemas, Shoolin Films, and Mugrodi Productions, with Anil Shetty, Sudhakar Shetty Mugrodi, and Manjunath Attavara as producers. Dikshit Alva is also co-producing the film.

The star-studded cast of Jai includes Roopesh Shetty alongside Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Prasanna Shetty Bailur, Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, and Umesh Mijar, among others.
