P Harishekaran appinted new IGP for Western Range

Mangaluru/Chikkamagaluru: P Harishekaran, a 1996 batch IPS officer, has been appointed Inspector-General of Police (Western Range).
He is the 12th IGP of the range comprising Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Chikkamagaluru district police units, police said.
Harishekaran, succeeds J.Arun Chakravarthy, who has been transferred as the Inspector- General of Police (Internal Security), Bengaluru.
