Tipaimukh becomes smallest electorate with 17749 voters in Manipur

Imphal: According to the information provided by the Election Commission of India in the wake of upcoming Manipur state assembly elections, there are two recognized regional parties are functioning in the state, Naga People’s Front (NPF) and the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA).

Among the assembly constituencies (AC), by area, the smallest are Keisamthong and Singjamei. Both have 2 scquare kms each and the largest AC is Phungyar, 23.8 scquare kms. By size of the electorate, the smallest is Tipaimukh with 17749 electors and the largest is Mao with 53557 voters. Further, all the 60 ACs in respect of Manipur have less than 1 lakh voters in the electorate.
