32 dead after Turkish cargo plane crashes into village

Bishkek: A cargo plane attempting to land at Kyrgyzstan’s airport amidst thick fog crashed in a populated area on Monday, leaving at least 32 people dead, including four pilots.
Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul from Hong Kong via Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek crashed at around 7.30 a.m. local time (0130 GMT).The plane crashed the Dacha-Suu village killing majority of the villagers.
Around 15 houses were damaged by the crash, according to the Emergency Services Ministry, which said that the crash caused fires that had been localized.
Airport authorities have said that country’s Manas airport would be closed and flights cancelled until evening.
