New Act to support Kambala in Karnataka

Bengaluru: A state cabinet meeting chaired by chief minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday in Bengaluru has decided to make necessary amendment to the law to make Kambala, bull cart race and others rural sports as legal in Karnataka.
A bill will be presented in the upcoming state legislative assembly session to make Kambala and bull card run as legal. The legislative session is scheduled to start from February 6.
Speaking to the reporters after the meeting Karnataka Parliamentary Affairs Minister TB Jayachandra said, an act will be passed in the upcoming state legislative assembly session to support the smooth conduction of the rural sports in the state. Necessary amendment will also be made to the animal violence prohibition act.
