Bengaluru: Congress Party high command has been trying not to lose its senior party leader SM Krishna whereas Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa is trying to pull him into the party as he moved out of Congress party last week.

Ahmed Patel political secretary to Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi has informed SM Krishna that the party high command wants to hold talks with him immediately to resolve any differences and strengthen the party further. Patel has also conveyed Congress party president’s message asking him to not leave the party after serving it for 46 years. Reacting to the party requests, SM Krishna said that he wouldn’t change his decision as it wan’t made in a haste. The decision to leave the party was made only after analyzing various issues within the party. The resignation to the party membership wasn’t not a demand instead it was a decision, he informed the party high command.

Responding on the issue, Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has urged SM Krishna on Monday not to leave the party as it has been facing difficult time at both national and state level. As a politician, he has vast experience and the party requires it for its growth.

Meanwhile, BS Yeddyurappa and other BJP leaders are trying to pull SM Krishna into into the party. “First of all I want to know the wish of SM Krishna. If he joins BJP, then we are ready to welcome him. His entry to BJP, undoubtedly raise the party strength in Karnataka,’’ he said.
