Kalburgi: “Former senior congress leader SM Krishna has agreed to join BJP and discussions are moving forward with him on the matter,” said Karnataka State BJP president BS Yeddyurappa on Friday here in the city.
Speaking to the press reporters Yedyurappa added that, “as an influential leader in the country, SM Krishna can energize our party further for its growth in the state and national level. BJP leaders have already discussed about his entry to the party and he has already spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his stand to join BJP.”
“Former senior congress leader hasn’t put forward any demands to join us. During discussions with SMK, he has informed us that his self-esteem was damaged when he was in the congress party,” Yeddyurappa added.
Meanwhile, SM Krishna is yet to make a statement on his entry to BJP. He is still silent on his political move after his resignation to congress party membership.
