Reports confirm arrest of Bengaluru ATM assailant Madhukar Reddy in Chittoor

Bengaluru/Hyderabad: Andhra police have arrested Madhukara Reddy accused assaulting Jyothi Uday, a resident of Bengaluru on November 19, 2013 at a Corporation Bank ATM in the state capital.The victim was attacked by the accused for cash when she came to withdraw money from ATM in the morning.
The accused was arrested by the police at Madanapalle in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh on January 31 after traffic a police identified the criminal and handed over him to the police for further investigation. During interrogation, the accused admitted the crime he committed in Bengaluru, the sources said.
Meanwhile, Karnataka State Home Minister G Parameshwara on Saturday in Bidadi has confirmed the reports that the accused was arrested in Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, Bengaluru police team has moved to Chittoor district to bring Madhukar Reddy.
More than 300 police personnel had searched for the accused in Karnataka and neighboring states in the sensational robbery case and failed to nab him. Recently, the investigation team of the case was submitted ‘C’ report to the court as it failed to nab the assailant even after three years after the incident.
