Bengaluru/Mangaluru: Responding to BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa’s allegation that Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah paid Rs 1,000 crore to the Congress high command to stay in power, senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary said in Mangaluru that he would felicitate Yeddyurappa if he was able to provide documents to prove his allegations against the Chief Minister.

Further, four ministers in the Congress government and three legislators on Monday released a CD containing a video clip of a supposed conversation between Yeddyurappa and Union Minister Ananth Kumar, where the two were discussing as to how they could politically use the issue.

The minute-long video clip was of a BJP event where Yeddyurappa and Ananth Kumar were supposedly discussing the issue. Congress MLC V S Ugrappa informed that the supposed conversation was recorded inadvertently by a microphone that was on.

It is said that Ananth Kumar is supposedly heard telling Yeddyurappa that the issue could be used to politically to stain the Siddaramaiah government as no one would believe denials by the Chief Minister.

Congress leaders, including Basavaraj Raya Reddy, Sharan Patil, M B Patil and Eshwar Khandre demanded that documents be produced that could prove the allegation made against the Chief Minister.
