New Delhi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day airlines are gearing up with all-women crew flights, discounts and preferential seats for women fliers.
Vistara will be launching its #VistaraWomanFlyer service, specially designed for solo women travellers. As part of the scheme, the solo women travellers will be assigned seats as per their preference, and also get the baggage and transport assistance on arrival.
Vistara’s Mumbai-Amritsar flight, to be launched tomorrow, will also be operated by an all-women crew as part of the #WomenWhoMakeUsFly celebration.
Jet Airways, too, will be operating four flights with all-women cockpit and cabin crew on its four sectors. These are Mumbai-Delhi, Mumbai -Chennai, Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi- Bengaluru, the airline said.
For these flights, Jet Airways will also have all-women teams to manage the ticketing counters, security, engineering, ground operations, cargo and ramp and airport services, among others.
Jet Airways is also offering the women travellers with a flat 10 per cent discount for booking in any flight across its entire network.
The special fare offer is valid for all bookings as long as at least one of the travellers is a woman and for the booking period between March 8 and March 13, it said in a statement.
