Food Poisoning kills Three School Students in Tumkur on Wednesday Night

Tumkur: Three high school students died while other two seriously fell ill as a result of food poisoning at Huliyar in Chikkanayakanahalli of Tumkur district on Wednesday night. The students along with the security guard at the hostel of Vidyavaridhi International Board School seriously fell sick after taking their supper at the hostel.

The victims were admitted to a local hospital soon after the incident and later they were shifted to the district hospital for further treatment. Three 15 year old students, Shanthamurthy, Shreyas and Akanksh Pallakki were died after medical treatment failed to save them in the hospital.

The deputy commissioner KP Mohan Raj has visited the district hospital and has collected information on the incident. The school is owned by former MLA Kiran Kumar. Further details are awaited.
