John Cena returns for ‘Daddy’s Home 2’ sequel

Los Angeles: Professional wrestler and actor John Cena has signed on to star in “Daddy’s Home 2”. 

The 39-year-old star, who appeared briefly in a cameo at the end of the 2015 comedy, will play a more prominent role in the second movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He joins returning stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in the Sean Anders follow-up. 

The movie is about to begin production in Boston. 

Cena’s upcoming films include Amazon’s thriller “The Wall” and Universal’s comedy “The Pact”.
