Four Youths Die After Breathing Smoke in Lingasugur

Lingasugur: Four youths have died after breathing smoke emitted by an electric generator on Thursday night at Lingasugur in Raichur district of Karnataka state. The deceased have been identified as Shiva Kumar (22), Halappa (17), Moulali (18), and Moulappa (20). The four victims out of five slept were died on the spot whereas Suresh was admitted to a hospital with severe health condition.  

The five youths arrived here in the town on Thursday to make necessary arrangements like roof, decoration and others for a private function. The deceased switched on the generator as electricity supply stalled at night while they were sleeping in a room. The five were slept near electric generator and started breathing the smoke emitted by it and following this, the four members died on the spot. The police have arrived at the spot and further details awaited.
