Harohalli Slaughter House Protesters Block BM Road; Protest Continues

Kanakapura: Members of various organisations, political leaders, members of the civil society from various parts of the state have started protests and called for one day fast at Harohalli against proposed slaughter house at Harohalli in Kanakapura of Ramanagar district on Friday. As many as 20, 000 protesters including BJP senior leader KS Eshwarappa, MLA Suresh Kumar, Freedom fighter HS Doreswamy, Basavalinga Swamiji, social activist Prameela Nesargi and others have been protesting against the slaughter house tobe constructed by the state government. The protests have also blocked Bengaluru-Mysuru (BM) Road showing their anger on the proposed project.
The police department has made necessary arrangement to ensure the peace in the area. Harohalli inspector is in-charge of the security arrangements and 5 circle inspectors, 15 sub inspectors, 25 ASIs, 150 head constables along with constables have been deployed in the area.
