Pregnant Woman Dies After She Tried to Abort her Pregnancy by Taking Pills in Tumkur

Kotagere: A four month pregnant woman, Radhamani (24) was died after she took contraceptive pills to abort her pregnancy at Kamarajahalli in Kotagere of Tumkur district on March 24. The deceased has already three female children and she tried to abort her pregnancy fearing that her fourth child could be a female. Radhamani took the contraceptive pills on March 23 and after taking the pills she fell ill. Radhamani was admitted to a hospital for medical treatment following her illness. However, the woman was died even if the doctors tried their best to save her. A police complaint has been registered at Kotagere police station on the incident.
