High Temperature: 40 Women Fell Sick in Karatagi

Karatagi: As many as 40 women fell ill following heavy temperature and sunlight at a Women’s Day programme on Sunday at Karatagi of Gangavati taluk. More-than 40, 000 women from the taluk and near by districts were arrived at Karatagi as public figures including, serial actress Sannnidhi, MLC Jayamala, Congress Leader Laxmi Hebbalkar and others were scheduled to participate in the event. The women who fell sick were admitted to nearby community health centre of the area. Felicitation programme for women achievers, prayers for good rains were also organised as part of the women’s day programme.
