Charlie Sheen on his struggle with HIV diagnosis

Charlie Sheen, who revealed he’s HIV positive back in 2015, opened up about his life after the diagnosis.

The former Two and a Half Men actor spoke at an awareness event on Friday in Hollywood where he was promoting the HIV injectable treatment PRO 140. Charlie said that post the treatment, he’s “started to feel back to myself again and back in touch with all aspects of my life”.

“When I was first diagnosed, I knew it wasn’t a death sentence but it was just a giant fricking bummer. I accept the gift of being alive. I could run and hide from this whole thing and not be outspoken, honest and open about it, but I’ve chosen a path that’s the opposite,” Charlie added.
