Bengaluru: Police found a decomposed body of an aged woman at a residence here in Kengeri, Bengaluru on Sunday. The body was secretly kept in the wardrobe and the area was plastered well to hide the dead body from others.

The building belongs to Naveen and the ground floor of the building where the dead body found was rented to Shivamogga based youth named Sanjay. Sanjay, his mother and grandmother were staying for the last one year in the house. Sanjay was reportedly studying in an engineering college and was also working for a company on part time basis in the city.

The youth and his mother Shashikala moved to Shivamogga in February informing the house owner that grandfather of the youth fell sick and it could take a month to return to Bengaluru. The house owner noted the fact that only two out of the three members left to Shivamogga excluding the aged woman.

The house owner didn’t get information on the duo even if he tried by his cell phone to contact them weeks after their exit. The incident came to light on Sunday when the house owner entered to rented house using another key to clean the house as some of his relatives were on their visit to his residence.

The house owner informed the police soon after he found the plastered wardrobe, clothes of aged woman along with nasty smell and other suspicious items found in the house. The police suspect that the youth and his mother might have kept the body of the aged woman after her death in a quarrel. A police team from Bengaluru has moved to Shivamogga for further investigation. According to the reports, the youth’s parents are living separately after their divorce and the sister of the youth is staying with her father in Shivamogga.
