Bomb Naga Failed to Exchange Demonetised Currency Notes Through NRIs: Police

Bengaluru: Bengaluru police found during the investigation that Ex-Rowdy sheeter, Bomb Naga and his gang were trying to exchange demonetised currency notes in the denomination of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes through non-residents of India (NRIs). However, his plans didn’t work out as he had a huge quantity of currency notes worth in crores. The accused reportedly received a huge amount of demonetised currency notes from influential business men of Bengaluru to exchange the same with the new currency notes released last year. 

Naga admitted before the police that he contacted five NRIs to exchange demonetised currency notes as police investigating Naga’s illegal transactions worth in crores. As many 11 members of his gang along with his two sons, Gandhi and Shastri are being questioned by the police.

Naga was arrested last week after Bengaluru police found unaccounted cash worth in crores, documents pertaining to illegal translations, properties and others at his residences and office located in the state capital.
