IAS Officer’s Mysterious Death: MP Shobha Karandlaje Urge UP Govt to Speedup Investigation

Udupi: In a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha member Shobha Karandlaje urged to take necessary steps to reveal the truth behind the mysterious death of Karnataka State Food and Civil Supplies Department Commissioner Anurag Tiwari IAS immediately.

The deceased IAS officer was on a visit to his native place in Uttar Pradesh and was found dead on May 17 near government guest house at Hazratganj in Lucknow where he stayed. The police suspect that the officer might have a victim of hit and run case as he was in his night dress. There were no wounds on his body despite a small injury on his cheek. The exact reason for the death is not known and police investigation is on to find the reason for his mysterious death.

Meanwhile, Karnataka state government shocked over the incident and sent two IAS officers to Lucknow to obtain further information on the incident. Karnataka home minister and other authorities have also urged Uttar Pradesh government to speed up investigation to identify the cause of the death of Karnataka Cadre IAS officer.
