IAS Officer Anurag Tiwari Assaulted Before his Mysterious Death: Post Mortem Report

Lucknow: In a new twist to the mysterious death of Karnataka cadre IAS officer, Karnataka state food, civil supplies and consumer affairs department commissioner Anurag Tiwari, a post mortem report confirmed that he was brutally assaulted before his death on May 16 in Lucknow. The deceased officer was found dead under suspected circumstances near road side when he was on his visit to Lucknow.

Information came into light on Wednesday after the case handed over to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday by the Uttar Pradesh state government.  

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath handed over the death case to CBI after family members of Anurag Tiwari alleged that the mysterious death of their kin is of planned murder. His mother and elder brother in a meeting with Uttar Pradesh chief minister on Monday alleged that their kin might have killed by his superiors and politicians as he was planning to expose a major corruption scandal in department.
