Bengaluru: Karnataka bandh from 06 AM to 06 PM today on June 12 has began amid poor response by the people and some stone pelting incidents in the state capital. The bandh has received good response in Kolar, Ramanagar and Chikkaballapur after vehicles remained out of the roads, traders shut their shops and commercial establishments.  Meanwhile, Kannada activists have forcefully shut shops, offices and commercial establishments in Hubballi, Bagalkot and other areas.

BMTC, KSRTC buses, Metro trains were seen running as usual in the state capital this morning.

Pro Kannada outfits called a statewide bandh last month urging the prime minister to intervene in Kalasa Banduri, Cauvery, Mekedatu water issues and to implement permanent irrigation facility to Kolar and its neighboring districts.
