Legislative Council Chairman DH Shankaramurthy Wins Trust Vote By Single Vote

Bengaluru: Karnataka legislative council chairman DH Shankaramurthy won trust vote by a single vote after 36 members of the council voted infavour of no confidence motion moved by ruling congress party in the state whereas 37 voted against the motion. BJP and JD(S) alliance in the council helped the chairman to win the trust vote here on Thursday. 

Shankaramurthy will continue as council chairman for the next two months and JDS member Basavaraja Horatti will be elected as chairman of the council, said BJP leader KS Eshwarappa after a meeting with JDS on Thursday.
