Bengaluru/Mangaluru: A meeting to discuss and solve issues faced by endosulfan victims in Dakshina Kannada has been called at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on June 19.

Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLAs, MLCs and other concerned authorities will participate in the meeting, informed Karnataka Health Minister KR Ramesh Kumar in reply to a question raised by BJP MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary on the issue during the monsoon Assembly session.

The decision came after endosulfan victims began a fast-unto-death last month urging the state government to implement development schemes to support the victims as assured earlier. The fast was withdrawn following assurance by the Deputy Commissioner.
