Online Hackers Steal Lakhs of Rupees from 8 Bank Accounts in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: As many as 8 cyber theft cases have been registered at Bengaluru city cyber crime police station in the last two to three days after unknown hackers managed to transfer cash from the bank accounts of Bengaluru residents.The hackers reportedly obtained confidential information on the bank accounts of the victims and later hacked such bank accounts to transfer the sum to their accounts.
A sum of around Rs 6 lakh reportedly stolen by online thieves located out side Karnataka and country. Majority of the victims in the theft cases are software engineers who reside in Bannerghatta, RT Nagar, HBR and other areas of the state capital. The police have registered cases on the incidents and investigation is on to nab the culprits.
