Namma Metro Hindi Beda: Pro Kannada group

Bengaluru: The Kannada Development Authority (KDA) issued a second notice to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation for not removing Hindi name boards from Metro stations.
It was reported that the a few unidentified persons had masked the Hindi letters on signboards of the Kempegowda-Majestic and Chickpete Metro stations.
Metro Rail officials have said that they did not know anything about the issue.
The KDA said that the Metro Rail Department has not yet implemented the changes as per their demands of replacing the Hindi name boards to either Kannada or English.
Meanwhile, Twitter was abuzz on the issue. Social media users argued openly for and against the use of Hindi in Namma Metro. A pro-Kannada group which launched a campaign hashtagged #NammaMetroHindiBeda on this issue.
