Police Arrest Ex-MLA Ravikantha Sankappa Patil, 3 Others after His Supporters Assault Innocents by Fault

Indi: Police reportedly arrested former MLA Ravikantha Sankappa Patil and his three supporters on Thursday in-connection with alleged assault and life threat on three innocents near Maharashtra-Karnataka boarder earlier. The police produced the accused before a local court in Indi on Thursday and the court has sent the four accused to judicial custody.
MLA’s supporters attacked Son of Revathangava Grama Panchayat President Kamesh Patil and his two friends by fault. Instead of Kamesh Patil and his companions, the accused were planned to attack Pintu Patil in-connection with illegal sand mining case.
Earlier, Pintu Patil’s gang which allegedly involved in illegal sand mining had reportedly threatened Ravi Kanth Patil for his move against their sand mining. Following threats from illegal sand mining gang, the companions of MLA planned to attack Pintu which finally turned wrong and forced the police to arrest the MLA. Ravikantha Patil has also registered a criminal case against Pintu Patil and his gang.
