IT Raid Continues on Residences of Karnataka Energy Minister, MP, Resort Stay of Congress MLAs from Gujarat

Ramanagara: In new development in Karnataka state on Wednesday morning, officials from Income Tax (IT) Department have raided the residences of Karnataka State Minister for Energy DK Shivakumar, Congress MP DK Suresh and a private resort located at Bidadi where 43 Congress MLAs from Gujarat have been staying since last week following pressure from their party leaders.
A team of IT officials who arrived with the escort of CRPF personnel have started verifying the documents, rerecords and others since early morning today, August 02 at the resort and residences of Congress leaders and further details on the raid yet to be known.
According to the sources, IT raid is in progress at the residence of DK Shivakumar in Bengaluru while officials reportedly verifying the records and documents at the residence of MP Suresh in Kanakpura. Raid is also being conducted at the residence of Congress MLC, close associate of DK Shivakumar, N Ravi
As many as 43 Congress MLAs have been kept by the Congress party at a resort in Bidadi near Bengaluru since last week in an attempt to retain party’s seat in Rajya Sabha as elections scheduled for next week. DK Shivakumar is reportedly took the responsibility keep the MLAs in the resort to prevent them from leaving his party.
