IT Raid Continues for Third Day on Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar; May Face Arrest

Bengaluru: Karnataka state minister, congress leader DK Shivakumar is likely to be arrested for holding alleged illegal property, cash and others if Enforcement Directorate (ED) joins ongoing raid by officials from Income Tax (IT) on the minister, sources said.
IT raid on the offices, residences located in New Delhi and various parts of Karnataka has continued for third day today, on August 4. IT officials reportedly found unaccounted cash, documents of benami properties, huge quantity of gold jewelry at the residences located of the minister in Bengaluru and New Delhi during the raid being conducted.
IT officials have questioned the minister for nearly 30 hours as part of their operation. The raid is also being carried out at the residences of close associates, relatives of the minister including his father in law’s residence in Mysuru for the third day today. IT department doesn’t has right to arrest the minister however, if ED joins its hand with IT, then there is a high possibility to arrest the leader. As per the current situation, ED is likely to join IT in the raid being conducted.
