IT Dept Starts Investigation into Properties Seized from Karnataka Minister

Bengaluru: Income Tax (IT)department has started reviewing the documents, cash and others seized during its raid on the residences, offices of Karnataka State Energy Minister, Congress leader DK Shivakumar from Saturday. IT department concluded its three day long raid on the residences, offices of the minister and his close associates, relative at various parts in Karnataka state including Mysuru, Bengaluru, Hassan and others.
IT officials concluded their raid on the two residences of the minister and his close relatives on Saturday morning and began investigating into the properties seized.
IT department hasn’t yet disclosed any information related to the outcome of the raid. However, according to sources, IT officers seized documents of Rs 300 crore worth property, cash and huge quantity of gold jewelry from the minister’s residences, offices. Chances of the arrest of the minister are very less as the IT department would have reported if it found detailed information on alleged illegal properties of the minister.
