Opposition BJP Attacks Karnataka Govt after New Twist to DYSP Ganapati’s Mysterious Death

Bengaluru: Opposition BJP attacked Congress Party led Karnataka state government on Thursday after a forensic report concluded that key evidences were destroyed which would have cracked mysterious death of DYSP MK Ganapati. 

Following a new twist to MK Ganapati on August 24, Karnataka State BJP President BS Yeddyurappa in a press conference here in the state capital urged Karnataka state government to provide information on the new twist inconnection with the mysterious death of the police officer and how a bundle of evidences destroyed. BSY also alleged that state government and police conspired to destroy the evidences of the death case which would have turned into key evidence against then home minister KJ George and others.

According to the reports which alleged, all data including call, message records, 2500 photos, 100 e-mails, a PDF file with 145 pages and others saved in the cell phone, a pen drive, hand written book finger prints and others were destroyed by the police to protect then state home minister KJ George and others inconnection with the mysterious death case.

Speaking to Media persons on the issue, senior BJP leader, KS Eshwarappa urged state minister for Bengaluru Urban development Minister KJ George to resign immediately as he allegedly responsible for the death. Bearing ethical responsibility over the issue, KJ George should leave the cabinet immediately and the state government should clarify its stand on the incident, he added.

Senior BJP leader Jagadish Shettar said, the judicial enquiry on the case is yet complete, however state government sponsored Crime Investigation Department (CID) gave clean chit to minister KJ George and others even if they is allegedly responsible for mysterious death. CID turned into a machine for Siddaramaiah led government to destroy the evidences which would have turn against KJ George and others.

Meanwhile, speaking on the mysterious death of his son, Kushalappa, father of the deceased urged for an independent enquiry into the case as the police failed to hold detailed enquiry into the case with responsibility. He also blamed the state government on the issue and urged for a CBI enquiry into the case.  

DYSP Ganapati found hanging self in a lodge room in Madikeri on July 7, 2016. Close relatives of the police officer, general public, politicians alleged that former Karnataka Home Minister KJ George and other two IPS officers are responsible for the mysterious death of the DYSP.
