President Kovind to visit Tirupati-Tirumala

Amaravati : President Ram Nath Kovind will visit the holy town Tirupati-Tirumala on September 1 and 2 during which the Andhra Pradesh government will host a civic reception for him. The president will arrive in Tirupati at 3 pm on September 1 and proceed to Tiruchanoor to worship Goddess Padmavati.
Governor E S L Narasimhan and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will receive and accompany the president. Kovind will then proceed to the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences and inaugurate a hospital building, a senior official of the General Administration Department here said. The state government will felicitate the president at the civic reception at the Sri Venkateswara Arts College.
He will lay the foundation stone for the B R Ambedkar Skill Training Academy and give away sanction letters to beneficiaries of ‘Stand-Up India’ programme, the official said. The president will then attend a state dinner at 7.15 pm at the Silparamam and from there proceed to the Tirumala Hills.
After an overnight stay, Kovind will worship Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on the morning of September 2.
He will depart for New Delhi by a special aircraft from Tirupati International Airport at Renigunta at 9.20 am, added the official.
