Politician’s son Rocky convicted of killing in Bihar

Patna: Rocky Yadav, son of Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader has been found guilty of killing a teen over road rage.
A local court in Bihar’s Gaya district today convicted Rocky of killing a teenager Aditya Sachdeva for overtaking his SUV in the month of May 2016.
Rocky Yadav’s parents will be sentenced on September 6. His mother was a politician with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party at the time of the shooting but was suspended soon after; her husband, Bindi Yadav, is a powerful businessman who was accused of destruction of evidence to shield their son.
Police had filed a charge sheet in a Gaya court against Rocky and another accused in connection with the murder. They had also filed charge sheet against Rocky’s cousin Teni Yadav, his father Bindi Yadav and his MLC mother’s bodyguard, Rajesh Kumar, in the murder case.
Rocky was granted bail by Patna High Court but it was later cancelled by the Supreme Court later in October 2016.
