Last Rites of Gauri Lankesh Held with State Honour in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Last rites of senior journalist, social activist, Gauri Lankesh held with state honor at Lingayat burial ground in Chamrajpet of Bengaluru city on Wednesday. No customs, traditions have been followed during the last rites as the deceased wasn’t a follower of a particular religion, customs instead she spent her entire life with secular ideology. The body of the deceased buried in the ground in the presence of her fans, political leaders, social activists and others.
Thousands of people including political leaders, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy, Minister for Kannada and Culture Umashri and other dignitaries attended the funeral ceremony of the deceased.
