Karnataka Govt Declares Cash Reward of Rs 10 Lakh for Info on Murderers of Gauri Lankesh

Bengaluru: Karnataka state government has declared a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh to the person who can give key clues, information on the culprits who brutally murdered senior journalist, social activist Gauri Lankesh at her residence on Tuesday evening in Bengaluru.
Speaking to media persons on Friday in the state capital after a meeting with chief minister Siddaramaiah, home minister Ramalingga Reddy announced the cash reward and said the state government is ready to raise the number of police officers in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to investigate the murder case.
The home minister has also asked SIT to question BJP leader, Sringeri MLA DN Jeevaraj for his controversial statement on Gauri Lankesh murder during a public meeting of BJP workers in Koppa of Chikkamagaluru district on Wednesday.
In a meeting in Bengaluru, chief minister, his cabinet colleagues, and senior police officers evaluated the progress of the investigation into the murder of Guari Lankesh and measures to be taken by the SIT to nab the culprits.
