Mysuru to Host 83rd Kannada Sahithya Sammelana from November 24 to 26

Mysuru: Three day long 83rd Akhila Bharatha Kannada Sahithya Sammelana (All India Kannada Literature Convention) will be held from November 24 to 26, 2017 in Mysuru, said Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Manu Baligar speaking in a press conference held in Musuru on Tuesday.

The president of the convention is yet to be declared by the Parishat. Kannada Sahithya Sammelana will be followed by Vishwa Kannada Sahithya Sammelana scheduled later this year, Manu Baligar added.

Kannada Sahitya Parishat decided to hold the Kannada Sahitya Sammelana by 2017 as state assembly elections scheduled for 2018. Issues including, separate state flag for Karnataka, reservations for Kannadigas in banking sector, significance of primary education in Kannada or mother tongue and others are expected to be discussed in the convention, sources said.
