Ahmedabad: PM Narendra Modi and his Japanese Counterpart Shinzo Abe have arrived for the launch of India’s first Bullet Train, the 508 km high-speed rail link from Ahmedabad to Mumbai.
The bullet train is expected to reduce the travelling time between the cities up to less than half, from the current six and a half hours (by train) to about two hours fifty eight minutes. Many traders who frequently make trips between the two cities feel that this will be a boon for conducting their business and don’t mind paying Rs.3,000 for a one-way ticket during their trips.
